Profile:  I asked my wife what my profile should say and this is her version:  My name is James - I drink tea - I eat cookies! 
O.K. my version is slightly longer:  I am a singer/songwriter.  I bought my first guitar when I was 16 from the 2nd hand store off Lonsdale - in North Vancouver.  I taught myself to play and wrote my first song then too -- and now have over 200 original songs.  I love songwriting - it's like solving a puzzle.  Some songs are never quite finished and others write themselves in 2 minutes. 
After 17 years in Auchinloch Scotland, I moved to The Sunshine Coast in 2002.  I take the first ferry to Vancouver every day and that's been a real strain on my time for music.  But recently I saw the Sechelt Birthday Concert and got a jump start to my musical MoJo!  I went out and bought a Boss BR1600 and recorded a new CD - '3 Songs from The Coast'.  The CD is my first proper recording in 4 years. 
I'm working on a new website - www.SongsForBigStars.com and may include some other artists here in the future.  I don't want to be a Rock Star - but I do want to write songs for Rock Stars!  Or Country Stars! 

Goals:  To write songs for Big Stars!  To record for a commercial label
